About the Teacher
Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong is the General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT-IKBU). Born in the UK, she has been studying under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for over 30 years. Gen-la has dedicated her life to helping people across the modern world to attain lasting happiness through developing inner mental peace. She is a very powerful Teacher, who makes Buddha’s teachings easily accessible to everyone; showing through her own personal example how to integrate these teachings into daily life.
She teaches at major events throughout the world is well loved by thousands of students for her ability to touch their hearts by showing how Buddha’s teachings are directly relevant to their lives today. As one of Venerable Geshe Kelsang’s close disciples, Gen-la Dekyong’s teachings, humour and kindness exemplify the essence of the Buddhist way of life.
About the Venue
Kadampa Meditation Centre Liverpool has hosted several Public Talks at St George’s Hall over the years and it proves to be a popular venue. It is situated opposite Liverpool Lime Street station, with Liverpool Central also just a short stroll away. Various buses run into Liverpool City Centre and the Hall is located near to Queen’s Square. The Concert Hall is fully accessible for those who require assistance entering the venue. We encourage you to book early as our Public Talks at St George’s Hall usually sell out well in advance.
