
Refuge Retreat

| £15.00 – £25.00Refuge is the first of the four great preliminary guides that we need to practice if we want to enter into Buddhism and make progress on our spiritual path to enlightenment. Through training in sincerely going for refuge we enter the gateway to Buddhism; and training in the compassionate mind of bodhichitta we enter the gateway to the Mahayana – the main path to the state of enlightenment.
£15 or £25 with weekend retreat / free for members
This retreat will be preceded by a 1/2 day course ‘Shelter from the Storm’

Kadampa Meditation Centre (KMC) Liverpool’s Resident Teacher is Gen Kelsang Tilopa
Gen Tilopa has been a Resident Teacher for almost 25 years giving teachings in Scotland and in the United States in Atlanta Georgia; Columbia South Carolina; Chattanooga Tennessee; and in Asheville, Durham/Chapel Hill, and Charlotte North Carolina. In 2016 Vajradhara Kadampa Buddhist Center in Charlotte became Kadampa Meditation Center North Carolina.
At the request of NKT Gen Tilopa returned to the UK in January 2023 to become a teacher in Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Center.
Born and educated in Scotland, Gen Tilopa brings to the teachings of pure Kadam Dharma his varied life experiences to help and guide his students, and to show how pure Dharma teachings and practice can improve the quality of our daily lives at work, at home, and in our everyday relationships.
