Prayers for the Dying and Deceased – half day course

Buddha taught special prayers, called ‘powa’, or transference of consciousness, with which we can help those who are dying, or who have recently died. Powa is a profound method for transferring the consciousness of the deceased to the Pure Land of Buddha, motivated by compassion. This method enables us to benefit the deceased by making offerings, confession and requests on their behalf, and through the power of our concentration release them into a state of pure and lasting peace.

On this special course we can learn more about these beautiful and powerful prayers and meditations and take part in a guided powa ceremony. Everybody is welcome.
