How to Rely on a Spiritual Guide

BOOK NOW

The quickest way to make progress in anything in life is to rely upon the skilful guidance of a person who is already fully accomplished in what we are trying to achieve. On this course, we look at how to have confidence in a Spiritual Guide, why having a Teacher or Spiritual Guide is central to our spiritual progress, and how to deepen our experience of the precious practice of reliance on our Spiritual Guide.

Followed by a mandala retreat | Sat 27th – Sun 28th

A mandala offering is a traditional imagined offering whereby you envision the entire universe transformed into a pure land and then mentally offer this to the Buddhas. A beautiful and creative practice, it is an extraordinary

The retreat will be led by our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Jigme.

Ordained as a monk in 1997 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Gen Jigme has studied, practised and taught Kadampa Buddhism under Geshe Kelsang’s guidance in major Kadampa Centres throughout the UK for many years. He shows a humble, kind example as a practitioner and his clear explanations of Buddha’s teachings give us the confidence to practise them in our daily life.

What People Say About Our Events

Kadampa meditation is an oasis of calm in a busy world. I have learned so much, how to meditate. Thoughts are just thoughts, not facts and what I can do to improve my connection to the world we live in.
