Meditation & Buddhism for Kids
October 1, 2017 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
In these fun-packed classes we aim to to develop and nurture the positive qualities in children through meditation and positive thinking. Each class is organised around a Buddhist theme such as love, kindness or patience and will include a range of fun activities including storytelling, drama and crafts. Children will learn simple meditations that can be practised by anyone, Buddhist or not, and be given techniques to gain confidence, mindfulness and consideration for others.
The classes are most suitable for ages 5-12, but children of any age are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Before or after class, you are welcome to relax in our World Peace Cafe overlooking Sefton Park which is open from 11am-4.30pm from Wednesdays to Sundays.
The teacher of this class is Kelsang Gogden. A Buddhist nun for 11 years, her joyful, funny and warm personality make her an engaging and popular children’s meditation teacher. She has a NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and is DBS checked.
Fee: £4 per child. No need to book.
