Overcoming Painful Feelings – drop-in meditation classes
Each week on this six-week course we’ll be looking at ways to overcome a different painful feeling. We’ll learn simple meditations to help us develop positive and beneficial states of mind to oppose and replace negative, harmful thoughts. By controlling our mind with meditation we can learn how to overcome and get rid of the painful feelings that make us miserable; we can learn how to deal with life’s ups and downs more positively and start to feel happier and happier every day.

The classes are self-contained so you can drop in any week. Each class consists of two guided meditations and a Buddhist mindfulness teaching to help us solve our daily problems and find peace and happiness. Beginners welcome. No need to book or bring anything.
The Quaker Meeting House is located next door to The Bluecoat on School Lane. Parking is free on Bold St and the surrounding streets after 6pm.
